William David "Bill" Jackson, age 52, received his wings to go home May 19, 2024 at his home. Born June 1, 1971 in San Angelo, Texas to William Don and Linda Faye (Stevens) Jackson, William spent his early years in San Angelo, and was a graduate of Lakeview High School in 1990. In 2002, he moved to Centerville, where he found his home and purpose.

A man of many talents, Bill was a jack of all trades throughout his career, from working in road construction for twenty years, operating heavy equipment, and repairing small engines, to running his own lawn mowing business. His versatile skills and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

A proud member of the Leona Volunteer Fire Department, Bill was a dedicated public servant who always put the needs of his community first. His passion for helping others extended beyond his volunteer work, as he was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was also a faithful member of Life Church in Leona, Texas and loved his church family dearly.

In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed exploring new places through travel and sharing his unforgettable tales and jokes with friends and family. A devoted father, he took great joy in teaching his sons the value of hard work, perseverance, and compassion. They were the joy of his life and Bill loved them more than life, itself.

His endearing nature, quick wit, and love for storytelling will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Constantly keeping in touch with his loved ones, Bill's warm presence and caring demeanor will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, H.V. and Lola Stevens and paternal grandparents, James & Martha Jackson.  He is survived by his parents, William and Linda Jackson; sons, Justin Jackson (Jordan Adams) and Branch Jackson (Raegann Whitmire); sister, Carrie Jackson Alewine; grandchildren, Willow Ray Jackson and Remington Pate; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Life Church, Leona, Texas on May 24, 2024, at 11 A.M., where friends and family can come together to honor his memory. A visitation will take place on May 23, 2024, from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. The burial will follow the funeral service, providing an opportunity for loved ones to bid farewell to a remarkable man who touched the lives of many.
