Grange McCreary was born October 9, 1955 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Billy & Beverly (Grange) McCreary and passed away September 5, 2021 in College Station, Texas. He was raised in Pasadena, moved to Conroe in 1978, and later moved to Centerville in 2003. Grange was a life long police officer beginning his career with West University P.D. in 1976 and ending it with his passing in 2021. Thirty-four of those years were proudly served as a Sergeant with Conroe P.D. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, shooting, riding his motorcycle, and always looking for his next project. He was a member of the Evans Chapel Methodist Church, a brother of the Masonic Lodge, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a life time member of the Montgomery County Fair Association and an enthusiastic fan of Texas A&M football. On October 27, 1979, he married the love of his life, Jackie (Boutotte) McCreary.
Grange was preceded in death by both of his parents and sister, Tawana McCreary. He leaves behind his wife of forty-one years; son, Raymond & wife, Amy and their son, Declan; and son, David and his daughters, Riley & Elliot. Throughout his life he loved, inspired, and supported many other young men and friends of his sons.
A celebration of life will be held 2 P.M., Friday, September 10, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
