Wayne Ray Milligan

Funeral services for Wayne Ray Milligan, age 82, of Northville, South Dakota and formerly of the Nineveh Community of Leon County, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Rev. John Murray, pastor of Flo Baptist Church, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Stevens Cemetery in the Flo Community of Leon County. Lunch will be served at the Flo Baptist Church at 12 Noon followed by a brief visitation from 1 P.M. to service time at the funeral home.

Wayne Ray Milligan was born April 19, 1940 in Boling, Texas to William Frank & Elsie (Heyne) Milligan. He graduated Freer High School in 1958 and retired as a repairman for NCR after thirty, plus years. Wayne married Dora Jean Gore in 1970 and settled in the Nineveh Community of Leon County until her passing in 2004. Two years later, Wayne married Lovern Milligan and they settled in Northville, SD where he enjoyed spending time working on their farm. Wayne also loved spending time with his grandchildren, as well as watching television and reading. Wayne and Lovern were blessed to have had the opportunity to travel, not only in the United States but to other countries, as well. Wayne passed away December 23, 2022 in Aberdeen, SD following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Dora Jean Milligan and brother Herschel Milligan.

Surviving family members include wife, Lovern Milligan of Northville, SD; children, Toni (Travis) Carlton of Chappell Hill, Texas, Michael (Laura) Milligan of Winnie, Texas, Lindy Milligan of Ohio, Chris (Jennifer) Simons of Salt Lake City, Utah, Gayla Ersler of The Woodlands, Texas, Robin (Leslie) Robb of Glen Rose, Texas, Ira (Sheree) Frericks of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ronnie (Lisa) Frericks of Northville, South Dakota and Tana (Jim) Westby of Aberdeen, South Dakota and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
