Victor "Craig" Newsom

Funeral services for Craig Newsom, age 60, of Houston, will be held 1 P.M., June 11, 2019 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Rev. David Maulsby will officiate the service. A private interment will take place following the funeral service. The Newsom family will receive friends before the service Tuesday from 11 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.

Victor Craig Newsom was born February 25, 1959 in Houston, Texas to parents, Victor McKee “Mack” & Marguerite (Walters) Newsom. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as a rancher and farmer. Craig had lived all of his life in Houston. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, music and loved to bake cookies (everyday). Craig passed away June 7, 2019 in Houston. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Newsom, in 2015.

Craig is survived by his father, Mack Newsom of Houston; sister, Terri Mathis (Kyle) of Hockley; niece, Paisley Mathis of Houston; nephews, Cole Vallatini (fiancée, Becca) of Memohis, TN and Nick Vallatini (Jeanine) of Spring; great nephew, Ethan Anderson and uncle, Billy Walters of Churchill, as well as, several cousins including dear cousin, Johnny Franks of Centerville.
