Thomas Henry Shaw

Thomas Henry Shaw, age 73, entered into eternal rest October 24, 2020 after a lengthy battle with ongoing health issues. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Lee Weiler will officiate the service. A public visitation will take place prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Thomas will be laid to rest in the Shaw Family Cemetery on the land he dearly loved.

Thomas was born January 25, 1947 in Palestine, Texas to O.C. & Therise (Moore) Shaw. He attended the Lone Star School in Flo through eighth grade and graduated from Oakwood High School in 1965. He was a lifelong resident of the Flo Community and attended the Cowboy Church of Leon County in Centerville when his health permitted. Thomas worked in various trades throughout his life, but his favorite was ranching. He enjoyed tractors, knife collecting and woodworking and loved his cattle. Thomas was a caring husband and father to his girls. His grandchildren brought him the most joy and were the center of his world. He will be greatly missed.

Thomas was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by devoted wife, Mary (Harrell) Shaw of Flo; daughters, Nicki (Johnny) Duck of Flo and Mandy (Nathan) Petry of Buffalo and sister, Linda Shaw of Bullard. Thomas is also survived by his six adoring grandchildren, Aiden, Remington, Gracie and Newt Duck and Thomas-Wayne and Henry Petry, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
