Tammy D. Steinbecker was born on December 16, 1962 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Bill and Janice (Thompson) Brannon. She worked as a Jail Sergeant for the Houston County Sheriffs Office and had previously worked for Leon County Sheriffs Office and Jewett EMS.
Tammy enjoyed the beauty of flowers. Working in her flower beds gave her so much joy. She also had a fondness for fishing and antique hunting. Tammy loved all animals, especially her two dogs. She had lived in Leon County for the past twenty-four years, coming from Arkansas.
Tammy passed away on October 3, 2016 in Madisonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Brannon. Survivors include step-father, Bill Brannon of Spring; sons, John Steinbecker of Centerville, Gary Steinbecker & wife, Catrina, of Milano and Dewey Steinbecker & fianc, Stacey, of Milano and daughter, Samantha Steinbecker of Centerville; brother, Tony Brannon & adopted sister, Nikki Brannon. Tammy is also survived by special friend, Lori Bowlin, of Crockett and all of her co-workers at the Houston County Sheriffs Office.
A memorial service for Tammy will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Walters Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
