Sotero Villarreal Escobar

Sotero Villarreal Escobar, of Centerville, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the age of fifty-six. Sotero passed away peacefully in his home.

Sotero was born in Purisima, Coahuila, Mexico on May 31,1966 to father, Sotero Villarreal Cardona and mother, Maria Isabel Escobar. He moved to Texas in 1993 to work at Center Ranch. He worked there for twenty-eight years as a ranch hand. He was a true cowboy that loved working and being able to take care of his family.

Sotero is preceded in death by his brother, Baldemar Villarreal. He is survived by his parents, Sotero Villarreal Cardona and Maria Isabel Escobar; his wife, Dora Villarreal; children, Sotero Villarreal Perales and Baylee Whitley, Ruben Villarreal Perales and wife, Alex Villarreal, Claudia Villarreal Perales, and Daniela Villarreal Perales; his grandchildren, Duston Lion Villarreal, Sunni Aaliyah Villarreal, Lucas James Villarreal and Inez Elise Villarreal; his siblings, Maria de Jesus Villarreal, Jose Maria Villarreal and wife, Irene Villarreal, Hilda Villarreal and husband, Jose Montelongo, Abelardo Villarreal, Lucila Villarreal and husband, Cornelio Rangel, Santiago Villarreal and wife, Josefina Villarreal and Antonio Villarreal and wife, Yanira Villarreal; and other family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Monday, August 8, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. All are invited to attend. Services will take place Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery, Centerville, Texas.
