Sharon "Kay" Alpha

December 14, 1943 — February 10, 2020

Sharon Kay (Evans) Alpha was born to Irving F. and Cival (Speer) Evans on December 14, 1943, in Concord, Texas. She passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2020.

Kay graduated from Leon High School in May 1962 and married Mike Alpha the following August. They made their home in Houston, Texas until moving back to the Concord-Robbins area in 1975.

She was a member of the Marquez Church of Christ and instilled faith in her children early on.

She worked at various local cattle auctions until she ultimately settled into her career-calling as an office manager of several nursing homes. She retired at the age of sixty-seven from the Centerville Nursing Home.

She enjoyed raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow. She also enjoyed her horses, cats, dogs, chickens, and taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens.

She is predeceased by her parents; brother, Sonny Evans; mother-in-law, Ada Mae (Alpha) Richards; father-in-law, James "Buddy" Richards; brother-in-law, Henry Alpha; sister-in-law, Virginia Alpha; nephew, Darren Bates; several extended family and friends and loving friend and co-worker, Beth Neyland.

She is survived by her husband; her four children, Kenneth Alpha, Becky Ware (& Landen), Lori Rhoden (& Billy) and Clint Alpha; her ten grandchildren, Tray Finke, Dayne Finke, Colton Alpha, Paige Daniel-Alpha, Dylan Rhoden, Brady Rhoden, Mikayla Ware, Addison Rhoden, Brandon Alpha and Cameron Alpha; her sister, Bonnie Tittle; her sisters-in-law, Wynell Evans and Marilyn Posey and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers are: Jeremiah Carmichael, T.J. Foley, Bubba Griffin, Billy Rhoden, Jimbo Spence, Bubba Turner, Richard Walston and Landan Ware.

Per Kay’s request, graveside services will be held at Concord Cemetery on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 11 o’clock in the morning.

Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
