Santos Montoya Orona

A rosary and funeral mass for Santos Orona, age 81, will be held 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville, Texas. A visitation will take place from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Mr. Orona will be laid to rest in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery, east of Centerville.

Santos Montoya Orona was born January 28, 1939 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a machinist for Byron Jackson Pump Division. He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville. Santos was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed landscaping, sports and cooking bar-b-que. He passed away at his home September 15, 2020.

Santos was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Maria Orona and five siblings. He is survived by son, Daniel Orona of Centerville; daughters, Elizabeth Orona of Centerville and Maria Magdalena Orona (Marty Davila) of Denton; brother, Genaro Orona of Kermit and sisters, Licha Orona of Kermit and Maria Orona.
