Roy Edward Roten

Roy Edward Roten, 74, of Centerville, Texas passed away at his home on October 18, 2021. Roy was born to Ambrose Lincoln Roten and Emma (Patrick) Roten on December 24, 1946, in Banner Elk, North Carolina. For many years, he worked as a truck driver, enjoying the scenery and seeing different states. He was very family-oriented and known to be very humorous, and he had a great liking for airplanes and trains.

Roy was preceded in death by both of his parents and three brothers, Carl Roten, Jim Roten and Larry Roten. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Anita June Roten; daughter, Robin Shafer (Charlie); sons, Mike Roten (Rachel) and Keith Roten; brother, Howard Roten; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins and one furry friend, Shelby.

Arrangements are under the care of Walters’ Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
