Raymond Alfred Voisin, Sr.

Raymond Alfred Voisin, Sr., age 86, of Centerville, Texas passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 in Waco, Texas following a brief illness. He joins his late wife, Betty Voisin; both of his parents and sister, Ava Nell Brazeal.

Raymond was born March 30, 1936 in Jewett, Texas to Audrey Alfred "Ted" & Cora Belle (Nanny) Voisin. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and had worked as a Route Salesman prior to his retirement. Raymond enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with his wife, Betty. He also enjoyed feeding the cows and mowing the hay field. He loved having family come and visit and spend time at the farm. Raymond enjoyed cooking for family, especially having fish frys. He especially enjoyed his work with the Centerville American Legion Post #335 where he served as the Sergeant at Arms.

Raymond is survived by sister, JoAnn Baxendale (Bob) of Houston; daughter, Terri Lynn Simkins of Willis; daughter, Sherry Lanell Nipp (Chief) of Mena, AR; son, Raymond Voisin, Jr. (Dianne) of Lake Hawkins; son, Teddy Voisin (Stacey) of Mena, AR; step-son, Gary Clark (Beverly) of Spring; step-son, James "Tony" Clark of Centerville; step-son, Howard Hunt (Kathi) of Tomball; grandchildren, Kevin Clark (Samantha), Tyler Hunt, Amanda Eggeling, Raymond Charles Eggeling, Shelby Lynn Simkins, Cheryl Smith, Heather Turbeville, Trevor Voisin, Torrey Voisin and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services honoring Raymond's life will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Lunch will be served immediately following the service at the American Legion Post 335, 346 Highway 75 North, Centerville, Texas 75833.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion, P.O. Box 104, Centerville, Texas.
