Ralph Reed Price

Ralph Price, age 92, passed away January 24, 2022 in Bryan, Texas. A funeral service honoring his life will be held 10 A.M., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Tuffy Loftin, of the Cowboy Church of Leon County, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in rural southwestern Leon County. A public visitation will take place Thursday, January 27th from 4 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ralph Reed Price was born April 13, 1929 in Concord, Texas to William Frank and Mamie (Reed) Price. He was raised in Leon County where he graduated from the Concord School. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a thirty-year retiree of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He most enjoyed being outdoors. Whether fishing, hunting or working on items around the property, Ralph was not a fan of being inside. He also liked mowing the grass and taking care of his lawn and did so up until five weeks prior to his passing.

Ralph was preceded in death by both of his parents; loving wife of forty-six years, Lera Frances (Copeland) Price; brothers, Glen and Billy Frank Price and sisters, Frances Dupree and Mary Ann Stokes.

Surviving family members include daughters, Glynda (Russell) Luedke and Peggy Price Johnson; son, David (Monica) Price; grandchildren, Jill Winkler, Jodi Luedke, Lynn Price, Tiffany (Brent) Mixon, Justin (Lily) Price and Breeana Graves and great-grandchildren, Riley, Emily, Garrett, Luke, Brighton, Kendall and Mason; companion and friend of twenty-five years, Irlin Sapp; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
