Peggy was born March 3, 1934 in Palestine, Tx to the late J.W. Hock, Sr and Wilrey Walles Granger. She was one of 8 brothers and sisters.

First and foremost, our mother was a Christian who loved her Lord and shared His Word with anyone who would listen. She was a wife, a good mother, and a great granny! In her young adult years, she was a fashion model and won a beauty pageant as The Speedboat Queen in New York. However, motherhood and family encouraged her to come home to Texas. In 1973, she moved to Centerville, Tx to raise her sons while her daughter was in college. She was always busy with projects, yardwork, gardening, canning, then much later, having the pleasure of her grandchildren. Her relationship with our Heavenly Father drew her deeper into the study and teaching of God's Word. She had the opportunity to travel to China with missionary, Nora Lam, to help smuggle bibles into areas where bibles were banned.

After a stroke, she lived with her daughter, Darlene and Rick, in Gatesville until her health required the excellent care provided at Hillside Medical Lodge in Gatesville She gently passed away there last Thursday morning.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ron Jackson, three brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by one brother, David Hock, and two sisters, Wilma Hilton and Nancy Stevens and husband Joe; her daughter Darlene Curie and fiancé Rick, her sons John Sheppard, III and wife Davie, Roy Byley, Jr and wife Becky; her twelve grandchildren: Josh and wife Ashley, Wayne, Brooke, Jonathon, Amber and husband Brock, Kurt, Jennifer and fiancé Blake, Mandy, Julie, Michael, Mindy and husband, Jonathan and Miranda; and fourteen great grandchildren: Aleigha, Nataleigh, Layla, Lahna, Kherington, Piper, Koby, Bryce, Ashlyn, Mason, Taylor, Wyatt, Savana and Jacob.

Proverbs 31:28...and her children will rise up and call her BLESSED! Always, we love you Mom and we will miss you forever.
