Patricia Lou (Roberts) Burleson

Patricia Lou (Roberts) Burleson, 80, went to be with the Lord, on November 11, 2020. She was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on September 14, 1940, to Paul and Esther (Myers) Roberts.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, “Granny”, “G.G.” and friend. She was very passionate about gardening and spending most of her time outdoors. During the cold months or on rainy days she would knit or read for hours. Every night she would lay in bed reading a book and usually eating some kind of snack (usually a sweet one). She loved to sit on the front porch, watch the birds at all the feeders, have long talks and watch the grandkids play. She spoiled all of her pets with lots of treats and love also. She loved to go visit her sister and come home and tell her daughter, Marie about what all they did. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren by hosting family events and making many delicious meals for everyone. Patricia leaves behind many special memories with her family. She will be dearly missed but definitely never forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esther (Myers) Roberts; husband, Roy Burleson Jr.; sisters, Monta June Edens, Roberta Tousha, Paula Simons; infant daughter, Sophia Vermilyea; son, Eddie Vermilyea; great-grandson, Dylan Moore and nephew, Robert Simons.

Left to cherish her memory is her special baby sister, Snookie Hearon; children, Margarett Vermilya, Ricky Burleson and Marie Rodell; grandchildren, Ricky (Desire) Burleson Jr., Krista (Jeremy) McRee, Debra (TJ) Foley, Angela (Cody) Moore, and Kutter Rodell; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Wyatt, Weston and Alexis Burleson, Emma Matchett, Audrey Foley and Trent and Bailey Moore; nephews, Melvin and Paul Edens and Stephen Simon, nieces, Patricia Fairbanks and Bobbi June(Simons) Benge and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Burleson Family Cemetery in Centerville, Texas.
