Pam Newton, age 61, passed away December 1, 2020 in College Station, Texas. Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Wealthy Cemetery near Normangee, Texas. Kenneth Hendricks will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.

Pamela Willene Newton was born September 1, 1959 in Bryan, Texas--the oldest of three girls to proud parents, Ross and Lois “Jeanette” (Copeland) Newton. Pam earned an Associates of Science Degree from Jacksonville College and worked as a purchasing agent for a computer software/instrument company where she was named Employee of the Year several times.

Pam, as well of the rest of her family, loved each other dearly. They were all as close as any family could be and spent a lot of time together, supporting each other in various events and in all that life handed them. A favorite birthday tradition for Pam for the past nearly fifteen years was to have all of the ladies of the family go shopping at Sam Moon and later dine at Joe’s Crab Shack. This was always a highlight for Pam. She also loved spoiling her nieces and nephews, as well as their children. Pam’s hobbies included reading novels from her favorite author, James Patterson and believe it or not, watching WWE wrestling on television. In fact, Pam watched wrestling so much that it earned her a television just for her room so that everyone else in the house had a chance to watch what they wanted, instead of wrestling. Pam had lived in Houston, Bryan and for the past five years, Leon County, and was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.

Pam was preceded in death by both of her parents and beloved sister, Doris Ewing. She will be greatly missed by sister, Mary (Clint) McRee of Leona; brother-in-law, Rodney Ewing of Robbins; nephew and nieces, Jeremy (Krista) McRee, Callie (Cody) Wood, Cassie (James) Hall, Allisen Ewing and Sara Ewing and great nieces and nephews, Abby, Britton and Cayne McRee, Dalton Hall and Candon and Cadlie Wood. She is also survived by aunt, Mary Lou (Mark) Woodson; numerous cousins and family friend, Tara Conway.

Pallbearers: Clint McRee, Rodney Ewing, Cody Wood, James Hall, Jeremy McRee, Britt McRee, Dalton Hall, Candon Wood, Cayne McRee
