Nancy Marie (King) Mcbride

Nancy Marie (King) McBride, 65 of Centerville Texas, passed away in Odessa, Texas on Jan. 5th, 2019. 
  
Nancy was born on Feb. 28th, 1953 in Natchez, Mississippi to Robert Perry King and Ruth King. She was an avid beautician and worked as a professional cosmetologist for well over 20 years. 
  
On Dec. 12th, 1969 she welcomed her only child to the world, Tammy Jean Allen. Later in life Nancy went on to marry Kenneth Wayne McBride on Dec. 31st, 1998.  
  
Nancy faced her share of tragedy throughout her life, which taught her the value of family and shaped her to be the most selfless, giving and beautiful soul on earth. 
  
After the death of her daughter Tammy, Nancy and Wayne took on the challenge of raising her four wonderful grandchildren; Casi Renee Allen, Nathaniel Robert Allen, Matthew Thomas Gordon and Heather Marie Gordon. 
  
Nancy and Wayne, called ‘Granny’ and ‘Pawpaw’ by their grandchildren, remained married for 20 years, celebrating their final anniversary on Dec. 31st, 2018, just a few days prior to her passing. 
  
Nancy enjoyed gardening, pottery, lifetime movies and spending time with each and every one of her family and friends. She had a hard time telling you ‘no’ and an easy time telling you ‘yes’, complete with a smile on her face. 
  
Nancy was preceded in death by Tammy Allen (Daughter), Noah Gordon (Great-Grandchild), Ray King (Brother), Tommy King (Brother), W.C. Tarver (Uncle). 

She is survived by, Kenneth Wayne McBride (Husband), Ruth King (Mother), Bill King (Brother), Casi Allen (Granddaughter), Nathaniel Allen (Grandson), Matthew Gordon (Grandson), Heather Gordon (Granddaughter), Kyleigh Kramer (Great-Granddaughter), Jarret Chase (Step-Son), Sheri Chase (Step-Daughter) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles that she loved very dearly.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will take place 1 P.M., Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
