Monica Lee graced this world with her presence on September 21, 1966, in Lubbock, Texas. Born to Jim Light and Jerry Dean (Gore) Light Baker, she brought a radiant light into their lives. A gifted writer and artist, Monica's creative spirit knew no bounds as she captivated those around her with her amazing talents.

Growing up in Buffalo, Texas, Monica bloomed amidst the warmth of her family. Her operatic voice carried her to the halls of Baylor University, where she sought to hone her musical talents, exuding a passion that resonated through every note she sang. Monica found solace and freedom in the company of horses, galloping through the winds of her dreams.

A renaissance woman in every sense, Monica embraced life with a fervor that was truly infectious. With grace, she excelled in every endeavor she pursued, a testament to her unwavering spirit and boundless potential. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and her devotion to her loved ones showered them with a warmth that will forever linger in their hearts.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Jim Light and step-father, Ernest R. Baker. Surviving family members include mother, Jerri Dean Light Baker of Buffalo; son, Spencer White of Bryan; daughter & son-in-law, Columbia Cooke & Korey Orr of Pinehurst; brother, Cory D. Light (Jennifer) of Temple; grandchildren, Luke, Hudson and Theodore Orr; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

As we gather to honor Monica's memory, let us remember the brilliance she brought to this world and the indelible mark she left on our lives. The gentle breeze of her voice and the stroke of her brush shall forever echo in the cherished memories we hold dear.

Monica's journey on this earthly realm may have come to a close on October 28, 2024, but her spirit shall forever soar in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Monica's life will be held on November 10, 2024, at 2 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.

In Monica's honor, let us embrace the beauty of life as she did. As we remember a life lived to the fullest, may her spirit find eternal peace in the embrace of the heavens above.
