Mike Curry

Mike Curry, age 55, of Buffalo, passed away on January 31, 2017 in a Tyler, Texas hospital. A visitation was held from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M., Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.

Mike was born Michael Dean Curry on January 21, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Edward & Rita (Windham) Curry. He loved playing the guitar and had just received a brand new one for his birthday. Mike could play all kinds of music. He was also an avid storyteller. Whether the stories were good, or not, Mike enjoyed talking to people and telling them any kind of story that would draw a good laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Mike was preceded in death by both of his parents. Surviving family members include sons, Jacob Curry (Stella) of Buffalo and Joshua Curry of Centerville; daughters, Dana Wood of Baytown and Amanda Bailey (Brian) of Madisonville; brother, John Allen Curry of Houston and grandchildren, Emily & Ina Cowgill, Alexa & Bryla Wood and Cadence Curry. Mike is also survived by his biological father, Jerry Dean Morgan and biological half-brothers, Gerald & Michael Morgan.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas was in charge of all arrangements.
