Michael Addison "Mike" Tampke

Funeral services honoring the life of Mike Tampke, age 75, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Brother-in-law, Franklin Williams, will officiate the service. Mr. Tampke will be laid to rest next to his late wife, Linda, in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery following the chapel service. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 1 P.M. to service time at the funeral home.

Michael Addison Tampke was born April 28, 1947 in Harris County, Texas to August Emil "A.E." & Doris (Finney) Tampke. Mike had lived in Midway, Texas most of his life. He was a proud retiree of T.D.C.J. having worked at the Walls Unit. In his retired years, Mike enjoyed ranching, gardening with his late wife and wildlife watching. Mike passed away January 25, 2023 in Conroe following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Linda Tampke and son, Jason Tampke.

Surviving family members include children, Michael Tadlock (Lyndsay) of Montgomery, Shane Tadlock (Karen) of Las Colinas, Amy Dirnberger (Dustin) of Lumberton and Brandon Tampke (Carol'ann) of Lumberton; step-children, Carlynn Coleman Gardner (Keith), Benny Coleman (Michael) and Dee Coleman Craft (Don); sisters, Martha Ann Williams (Franklin) of New Caney and Peggy Barr (Jim) of Bellaire; grandchildren, Lauren, Kennedy, Natalie, Addison, McKay, Seth, Nicholas, Emma, Nicholas, Braden, Parker, Gabriella and Quinn; step-grandchildren, Clint (Amy), Colby, Andrew, India, Aeryn and Ivory; three great-grandchildren and numerous step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Nicholas Tampke, Seth Tampke, Weston Tinsley, Monte Jack Starnes, Hayden O'Connor, Braden Gyorko

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
