Melvin Dean Tryon

August 2, 1944 — August 13, 2020

A homegoing graveside service for Melvin Tryon, age 76, will be held 10 A.M., August 20, 2020 at Culton Cemetery in Leona, Texas.

Melvin Dean Tryon was born on August 2, 1944 in Leona, Texas. He was the first grandson in the Tryon family, so he was named after his grandfather, Mr. Mel Tryon.

He was educated in the Leona Public School System, which later became Washington Perkins Elementary and High School.

Melvin was employed at Sears Roebuck & Co. on Lamar St. in Dallas, Texas. He worked therefor several years and was offered a manager’s job. He accepted and worked there until he decided to retire.

He was a friendly and sociable man; he loved family and gathering together with friends and was always the first one at the Domino Table.

Melvin entered into rest on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his home in Dallas.

We pray that God welcomed him in, along with his son, Terry T.; his Mama, Frankie; Daddy, Jim and his two brothers, Charles and Larry and all the other relatives who preceded “Son” in death.

Left with precious memories: his wife, Pearle Johnson Tryon; his daughters, Towana Ann Tryon and Renea Tryon; son, Tal T. Tryon Fisher; grandchildren: Terri Nicole Tryon, Kedrian Fisher, Jayden Fisher and Renea’s three children and great granddaughter, Giannah Garza. Also surviving are his sisters: Dorothy Shaw, Olene Davis and Billie Jean Johnson; brothers, Jimmy Lee Tryon and Gene Tryon (Pearlie Jo); a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and special “forever friends”: Ruby Faye Young, Elois Fisher and Everlina Jackson.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
