Maureen Ruth Mylott

Maureen Ruth (Broderick) Mylott, age 87, of Humble, Texas passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2022. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on March 23, 1934, to Martin Broderick and Jean (Robinson) Broderick. Maureen enjoyed doing volunteer work for St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville and St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Pasadena. She was active in the Garden Club and Red Hat Society, and she cherished fellowship gatherings with family and friends. Maureen was also described as being competitive throughout her life; she especially loved to win at board games, card games and bingo.

She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Edwin Joseph Mylott; son, William Vanderbilt; siblings, Edward, Martin, James, Catherine, Jean, William, Arthur, and Tom. She is survived by her sons, Edward Vanderbilt (Lisa) of Katy, Texas and Daniel Vanderbilt of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; daughters, Louise Carroll (James) of Porter, Texas, Carole Currier (Michael) of Livingston, Texas and Mary Jean Griffin (Ross) of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Heather, Chrissy, Billy, Todd, Jamie, Jason, Heather, Will, Joey, Jessica, Christopher, Stephen, Lindsay; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Todd Carroll, Jamie Carroll, Christopher Currier, Stephen Currier, Will Vanderbilt, Joey Vanderbilt.

A funeral service will take place 2 P.M., Friday, January 21, 2022, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville, Texas, Father Joseph Lourdusamy will officiate the service. A brief visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Walters Family Funeral Home.

Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
