Maryah Lopez-Rosales

December 4, 2002 — December 12, 2022

Funeral services honoring the life of Maryah Nicole Lopez-Rosales, age 20, will be held 11 A.M., Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Cowboy Church of Leon County. Pastor of the church, Tuffy Loftin, will officiate the service. A brief visitation will take place Monday morning from 10 A.M. to service time at the church.

Maryah Nicole Lopez-Rosales was born December 4, 2002 in Bryan, Texas. She grew up in Bryan and had lived the past four years in Centerville where she worked as a caregiver at the Paw Paw Patch daycare center in Centerville.

Maryah loved children and loved her job at the Paw Paw Patch. She considered each of her students as her own. In fact, all of the young people in Maryah's life held a special place in her heart, especially her baby cousin, "Witty Witty,” who was her heart. She deeply cherished her family and loved time that she was able to spend with them. Like other young adults, Maryah was a stylish young lady and loved coming up with new ways to fix her hair and always made sure she took about a million selfies of herself. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing but most of all, her greatest passion was making people laugh and smile.  That’s the kind of affect Maryah had on anybody she came in contact with--no matter who you were, she never judged and had a heart of gold. She will be dearly missed.

Maryah passed away December 12, 2022 in Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Johnny Ray Rosales; maternal grandfather, Frank Sierra, Jr. and maternal great-grandmother, Oralia Maria Perez, as well as, uncle, Anastacio Navarro; cousin, Brandon Scott Rosales and special friend, Natalie Ann Mosqueda.

Surviving family members include parents, Jeromy and Stephanie Rosales of Centerville; brother, Jeromy Rosales, Jr. of Centerville; sister, Leah Rosales of Centerville; brother, Daryeon Lopez of Bryan ; paternal grandmother and grandfather Helena Kelly (Robert) of Flynn; maternal grandmother, Sally Perez of Houston; uncles & aunt, Chris Rosales (Michelle) of Bellville, Jeanna Richards of Flynn, Angel Sierra of Friendswood, Johnny Sierra of Houston, Jessica Sierra of Houston, Diane Sierra of Houston, Matilda Navarro and Lesa Navarro and her puppy she who cherished "NalaBear." Maryah is also survived by her best friends, Korina of Bryan and Cha-cha of Normangee and all of her younger cousins who she adored so much, as well as her coworkers at the Paw Paw Patch and a host of extended family and friends.

Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
