Mary Ann Williams

Mary Ann Williams was born August 20, 1936 in Center, Texas to Joseph & Clara Bell (Fincher) Emanis. She worked as a meat wrapper at Weingarten’s Supermarket, now Safeway, in the Houston area for many years.

Mary had lived in Centerville for the past forty years in Centerville, and for a period of time, drove a bus for Centerville Independent School District. In her later years, she enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles and reading. Most of all, Mary enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very proud of each of them.

Mary passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Monday, July 22, 2019 at her home near Centerville. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, John Williams; daughter, Jackie Peck and son, Michael Owens.

Surviving family members include daughter, Carol Helterbran (Dan) of Centerville; grandchildren, Max Samford (Patty) of Texarkana, Shelly Gillum of Serville, TN, Justin Owens of Centerville, Dually Owens of Centerville and Taylor Owens (Kraig) of Plantersville and eight great-grandchildren.

Private memorial services for Mary will be held at a later date.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of arrangements.
