Mark Anthony Hess, Jr.

Funeral services for Mark Anthony Hess, Jr., age 19, of New Boston, TX and formerly of Centerville, TX were held at 2 PM, Monday, October 31, 2016 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Rev. John Murray, pastor of the Flo Community Baptist Church, officiated and burial followed in the North Creek Cemetery in the Ninevah Community of Leon County.

Mark Hess, Jr. was born on October 11, 1997 in Texarkana, Texas to Mark Anthony Hess, Sr. and Christina Collins Hess. He graduated from high school in May 2015 in Texarkana. Mark had lived for a while in Centerville as he was growing up. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting and driving a four wheeler. He also liked to play his guitar. His best friend was his younger brother, Troy Hess. They did everything together as they grew up. Mark was smart and talented and liked to have a good time. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Mabel Ruth and C.R. Collins. Mark passed away in New Boston on October 27, 2016.

Surviving family members include his dad, Mark Hess, Sr. of Dallas; mother and step-dad, Christina and Brian Tindell of Centerville; maternal grandparents, Mark (Debbie) Collins of Centerville, TX and Connie (Ron) Johnson of DeKalb, TX; paternal grandparents, Phyllis Hess and Butch Miller of Texarkana, TX and John Thomas and Ava Hess of Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, Troy Hess of Centerville; sisters, Amber Hess, Meagan Hess, Heather Hess and Adrienne Hendrix all of Texarkana and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family has requested that any donations be made to the Centerville FFA (Attn: Admin. Office, CISD/FFA, 813 S. Commerce St., Centerville, TX 75833).

Services were under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
