A Memorial Service for Marjorie Garland will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 2PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Buffalo.
Marjorie went to sleep peacefully at her home near Buffalo on Wednesday March 22, 2017.
Marjorie was born near Lime Springs, Iowa on July 11, 1923 to Wendell and Josiah (Blomgren) Phillips.
On September 4, 1939, she dedicated her life and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She traveled in seven states in the Midwest and Southern states teaching the Bible living up to that dedication over all the years.
On October 9, 1954 she married Verna Loyd (Dick) Garland in Austin, Texas and moved to Buffalo. To this union were born Philip Dale and Phyllis Gale.
She is survived by Philip Garland and wife Carla of Jacksonville, Texas and Phyllis Vezorak and husband Mike of Buffalo, Texas. Grandchildren: Aaron Vezorak (Lucy) of College Station, Texas, Brandi Wallace (Zachery) of Palestine, Texas, Miranda Kruebbe (Zach) of Carthage, Texas, Matt Vezorak (Cara) of Palestine, Texas, and Krystal Griffith (Brent) of Carthage, Texas. Great Grandchildren: Emily Vezorak, Aidan Shearin, Jackson Shearin, Carson Kruebbe, Sophia Wallace, Scarlett Griffith, Rowyn Kruebbe, Jace Vezorak, Tinley Griffith.
She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
