Mariana Rivera

Mariana Rivera was born on June 16, 1999 in Houston, Texas to Victoriano Rivera & Mary De Los Angeles Recendiz. She was only girl and youngest of five children. She moved to the Leon County area when she was around 9 years old and attended Leon Elementary and Jr. High Schools. After graduation from Leon Jr. High, Mariana attended school in Buffalo. In May of 2017, Mariana graduated from Buffalo High School.

Mariana enjoyed doing what most young girls her age enjoyed. One of her favorite past times was going to watch newly released movies in the movie theater. She always knew when a new film was about to be released and liked having her brothers go with her. She also enjoyed shopping and fishing on occasion. Mariana loved taking trips to the zoo so that she could see all of her favorite animals. Most of all, she loved her friends and family and wanted to be with them as much as possible.

Mariana passed away on the morning of July 16, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was eighteen years old. Surviving family members include parents, Victoriano Rivera of Mexia and Maria De Los Angeles Recendiz of Mexia; brothers, Victoriano Rivera, Jr. (girlfriend, Rosa) of Marquez, Daniel Rivera of Jewett, David Rivera (wife, Lakrissa) of Tennessee Colony and Abran Rivera (fiance, Araceli) of Tennessee Colony and two nephews, Victor Rivera and David Rivera, Jr. Mariana is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Mariana will take place Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Rivera home, 373 LCR 509, Mexia, Texas 76667. A private family graveside service will be held the next day.
