Margaret Ann Abushanab

Margaret Ann Abushanab was born to Mrs. Willie Lee Rhinehart and Mr. Samuel Laymon. She was the fifth of six children.

Margaret passed away on August 4, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Margaret was born in Corsicana, Texas on July 8, 1956. Preceding her in death was her father, Samuel Laymon; brother, Samuel Laymon Jr.; son, Ricky Wynn; and her nephew, Samora Laymon.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Mother, Mrs. Rhinehart; her four brothers, Claude Johnson, Freddy Johnson Jr., Willie J. Johnson, and Slyvester Laymon; her children, Christina Laymond, George Laymond, Nadia Abushanab, Nassir Abushanab, Munzer Abushanab (Latonya), Nadial Abushanab, and Mona Abushanab; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Margaret accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She moved to Leon County where she received her high school diploma from Centerville High School. Margaret later moved to Houston, Texas where she married and had eight beautiful children. She was a loving mother; not only to her own children, but also to many other children as well. She loved everyone unconditionally. Margaret always had a caring smile on her face and a joyful song in her heart. She was thoughtful and giving. If anyone needed help, she was there. Her compassionate, gentle personality made her a friend to everyone. Margaret also enjoyed numerous hobbies such as: shopping, trying new restaurants, listening to music, and organizing family gatherings. Margaret loved her family tremendously and was a devoted homemaker. She will be deeply missed by her children, family, friends, and all who knew her.

Homegoing services for Margaret will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in Ward Cemetery in the Pleasant Ridge Community of Leon County. A wake will take place Friday, August 14th from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
