Linda Jane Franklin

Funeral services for Linda Franklin, age 72, of Centerville, will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Bro. Bobby Burleson will officiate the service, and interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County. A public visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2nd from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.

Linda Jane Franklin was born October 4, 1946 in Waxahachie, Texas. Her parents were Charles Thomas & Clara (Wilson) Tubb. Linda was raised in Leon County and attended school in Centerville. She was baptized at First Baptist Church in Centerville. Linda was a homemaker and loved working in her yard taking care of the flower beds and the lawn, always finishing off with a good sweeping of the sidewalks and patios. Linda often cooked food for various groups in which her husband was involved, including the V.F.W. and Masonic Lodge. Linda passed away December 30, 2018 in Centerville. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband, Earl Franklin.

Surviving family members include sons, Scotty T. King & wife, Rose of Centerville and Troy D. King of the Flo Community; step-sons, Larry Franklin & wife, Colette of Conroe, Eddie Franklin & wife, Danna of Conroe and Danny Franklin of Marquez and sister, LaVerne Hill of Centerville. Linda is also survived by beloved grandchildren, Trey, Samantha, Lysa, Stormy, Haley, Clara, Trevor, Roper, Travis, Adriene, Justin, Colby, Mark, Matthew & Jason, as well as, nine great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
