Lillian "Fredaleen" Madden

October 10, 1925 — March 27, 2025

Marquez, Texas

Fredaleen Madden, a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 99 years. Born on October 10, 1925, in Marquez, Texas, to Oscar and Freddie (Stokley) Noey, Fredaleen lived a full and vibrant life, primarily in the Marquez area.

A longtime member of the Marquez Church of Christ, Fredaleen was known for her hard-working nature. She dedicated herself to her family, home, and jobs, often prioritizing her responsibilities over personal hobbies. Her many flower gardens were a testament to her love for nurturing life, always adorned with beautiful blooms and well-kept greens, reflecting her diligent spirit throughout the seasons. Friends and family knew her as someone who took pride in maintaining a tidy and welcoming home, and she cherished the memories created during family gatherings, where her laughter and warmth brought joy to all. In her later years, when slowing down became a necessity for Fredaleen, she spent countless hours enjoying the simple pleasure of watching television.

Fredaleen was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Robert Madden; son, Robert Dwayne Madden; daughter-in-law, Kathy Madden; granddaughter, Misty Madden; and four siblings. She is survived by her devoted children, Treasia Loomis (Bob) of Hilltop Lakes, Joan Madden of Marquez, and Ted Madden of Marquez; brothers, Leo Noey, Vivian Noey (Linda), and John Noey (Sue), all of Marquez; grandchildren, Chandra Christine Loomis, Robert Preston Loomis (Dana), Cary Sanders (Brandon), Noble Wise (Lindsay), Jentry Munn (Craig), Clay Madden, Kylie Madden, Caleb Madden, and Oscar Madden (Teresa); and great-grandchildren, Connor (Priscilla), Brooke, Marcus, Gannen, Khloe, Aiden, Trent, Baylee, Jordan, and Brett; as well as numerous other extended family members, who will carry on her legacy of love and hard work.

To honor Fredaleen’s life, a graveside service will be held at Winn Cemetery on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her remarkable journey, reflecting on cherished memories and honoring the impact she had in our lives.

Fredaleen will not only be remembered for her tireless work ethic but also for the love and care she poured into every aspect of her life. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
