Lewis Samuel Washington, Jr.

Lewis Samuel Washington, Jr. was born March 18, 1960 to Lewis Samuel, Sr. and Roxiana ( Buckner) Washington. He lived in Mexia for a number of years, as well as Centerville and Killeen, before moving to Houston where he remained for the past twenty-two years. Lewis was a member of the Zion Temple Church of God in Christ where he served as an usher. Lewis also enjoyed sports, music and doing puzzles.

Lewis passed away April 29, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Washington, Sr. and sister, Patricia Johnson.

Those left to cherish Lewis’ memory are mother, Roxiana Washington; brothers, Tony C. Washington (Sharron) of Tomball, Forrest G. Washington (Renell) of Houston, Randy Washington of Houston, Kenneth Ray Washington of Houston and Floyd Washington (Tracie) of Wichita Falls; sisters, Mary Beard (Chester) of Houston and Shirley Tutt of Houston and a host of nieces and nephews.

A homegoing graveside service for Lewis will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Centerville Community Cemetery in Centerville, Texas. A brief visitation will take place Saturday before the service from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.
