Lev "Lawrence" Rabb

September 6, 1959 — December 7, 2022

Memorial services for Lev Lawrence Rabb, 63, of Centerville will be conducted on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.

Lev "Lawrence" Rabb was born on September 6, 1959 to John Lee & Mamie (Floyd) Rabb in Houston, Texas and passed away on December 7, 2022 in an automobile accident. He attended high school in Jersey Village near Houston. He came from a large family of seven children: Leo, Liz, Billy, Lawrence, Pete, Judy and Ronnie. He and his dad and brothers were always car enthusiasts, working on and racing cars as they grew up in Houston and Woodville, Mississippi. Lawrence went on to work as a wire weaver, making chain link fences, working with his father during his early years. He worked on transmissions and had a mechanic business out of his home. He was also an excellent welder. After moving to Centerville in 2006, he and his wife, Michelle, flipped houses in surrounding counties until the housing market fell. He went to work at Woody's Smokehouse as a meat cutter and deli worker until 2011 when he opened his own mechanic shop. Best Tire and Fab Shop was born in October of 2011, and he served the community of Centerville and surrounding counties with tires, mechanic work, welding and tractor work until 2019 when he suffered a stroke. He could fix anything that could be taken apart and put back together. He loved his work and his home and family. A friend gave him a smoker and by trial and error he learned the best way to smoke and BBQ spareribs, hamburgers and sausage. He truly enjoyed his BBQ, but being a true Southern boy, his favorite meal was a mess of purple hull peas, collard greens and cornbread.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, John Lee and Mamie Jean Rabb; his sister, Liz; and brothers, Leo and Pete. Survivors include his wife, Michelle of Centerville; his children, Lev, Jr., Amy Mirolock and Joseph of Arizona; his sister, Judy Hebert of Crockett; his brother, Ronald (Emma) of Houston; and his brother, Billy of Buffalo.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Walters Funeral Home of Centerville, Texas. The memorial will be conducted by Rev. Johnny Veretto.
