Leanna Murner-Kitchens, of Midway, passed away tragically on September 2, 2017. She was forty-two years old. A celebration of her life will take place at 10 A.M., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
Leanna was born on February 28, 1975 in Searcy, Arkansas. She had lived in the Madison/Leon County area for the past 20 years. Leanna was currently the manager of the Town Café in Centerville. When at work, she always greeted the café patrons with a pleasant disposition and smile. In her off time, Leanna loved to go swimming in the pool. She also had a fondness for computer and phone games and would often spend mornings drinking coffee and playing the game “Township.” She liked to get other people involved in the games and had most of the girls at the café playing, as well. Leanna also loved horses—riding, grooming, taking care of them—she enjoyed it all.
Leanna was preceded in death by her father, Mack Murner and both paternal grandparents. She is survived by husband, John Kitchens of Midway; daughter, Melissa Leonard of Madisonville; brother, Johnny Murner of Austin and special friend, Jodi Hoffman of North Zulch. Leanna is also survived by three grandchildren, Dallas Marie & Evan Lee Rich and Holden Lee Kitchens, whom she absolutely adored.
