Lavern Clark, age 85, of Huntsville, and formerly of Centerville, passed away September 15, 2018 in Huntsville. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 P.M., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in the Leona Cemetery in Leona, Texas. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Monday, September 17th at the funeral home.
Lavern Zula Clark was born February 15, 1933 in Rosedale, Oklahoma. Her parents were J.T. & Nicy N. (Pirtle) Dennis. Lavern was a seamstress most of her life and was very proficient in sewing and crocheting. She was an animal lover and especially loved dogs. Lavern also enjoyed gardening. She had lived in Centerville most of her life and was a Baptist by faith.
Lavern was preceded in death by both of her parents; husbands, George Rutledge and Tommy Clark; son, Robert Royce Headrick and great granddaughter, Michelle Nicole Shellenberger. Surviving family members include son, Paul Dene Headrick, Sr. (Glenda) of Centerville; daughters, Nancy Gayle Goodson of Trinity, Wanda Ann Pady (Leonard) of Cut-N-Shoot and Brenda Kay Kimbrell (Gary) of Centerville and sisters, Evelyn Cottongim of Jewett and Lora Clark of New Braunfels. Lavern is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
