Our beloved Larry Wayne Poore, 71, left us on September 2, 2024, to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by daughter, Bonnie Mae Mander (Matthew) of Cleveland; brother, Kenneth Poore (Cathy) of Flynn; grandchildren, Brianna Kinnaird (Jackson Quiett), Topeka, Kansas, Michael Kinnaird of Wichita, Kansas, Matthew Mander, Jr. of Cleveland and Bryson Mander of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Kinnaird, Elizabeth Quiett, Andreas Kinnaird and Julian Stone and numerous other extended family and friends.
Larry was loved and will be missed by his family. He had a passion for Elvis Presley's music. There are so many memories of him putting on his Elvis glasses and just singing along with an Elvis song. He had a great sense of humor and the best laugh. We take comfort in the fact that Larry has been reunited with his beloved wife, Sherrill and his parents, Bessie and Raymond Poore, as well as his siblings, Naomi, Nellie and Ray.
Although we are sad, we know he is rejoicing now.
A funeral service honoring Larry's life will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Father Joseph Lourdusamy will officiate the service. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 12 Noon to service time at the funeral home.
