Lana Gail Rawley passed away at her home on July 18, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on January 5, 1956, in Crockett, Texas, to Melvin Ray & Sylvia Ann (Tilley) Gibson. Lana was known for her kind and compassionate nature, always putting her family first.
A dedicated homemaker, Lana found joy in caring for her loved ones and creating a warm and inviting home. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing bingo and traveling, embracing a Hippie lifestyle that resonated with her free spirit. Music was a significant part of Lana's life, with rock melodies always accompanying her on her adventures.
Lana moved to Leon County in 2004, after residing in Freeport, Texas, for many years. She appreciated the simple pleasures in life, finding solace in watching shows on the Lifetime and Discovery ID networks. Lana cherished her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Lana was preceded in death by grandparents, Pete and Myrtle Bell; parents, Melvin and Sylvia Gibson; beloved husband, Kevin Rawley; aunt, Ruth Gibson and honorary cousin, Clint Pyle.
Survivors include son, Jeremy Moore (Ashely); daughter, Kimberli Hill; brothers, Marty Gibson (Jill) and Randy Gibson (Lisa); grandchildren, Colton Dickey (Makayla), Shelby Moore, Landen Grable, Jaycelyn Chupp (Mason), Colbi Hill (Daniel Robinson), Brody Moore, Kash Moore, and Colt Conrad; great-grandchildren, Lainey Dickey, Lyndie Dickey, Ayla Arriaga, Kaysen Robinson, Kyzic Briscoe, Alyssa Clarke, and Jeremiah Clarke; honorary cousin, Alicia Pyle Briscoe (Moses); and other loving family and friends, Tina Pierce, Shanna Clarke and Rick Nowak.
A funeral service honoring Lana's life will be held 1 P.M., Monday, July 22, 2024 at New Salem Cemetery Chapel in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. Bros. Jim Bob & Bo Gunnels will officiate the service. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery.
