Kenneth Frank Miller, a dedicated retiree of the U.S. Navy whose duty and honor extended across oceans, left this world on July 26, 2024. Born on December 17, 1938, to Frank Henry and Florence Mary (Lorraine) Miller in an era that shaped his courageous spirit, Kenneth committed his life to service and adventure.

With a distinguished military career that spanned two tours in Vietnam, one in Cuba at Guantanamo Bay, and another in Korea, Kenneth showcased unwavering bravery and commitment to his country. Beyond his military accolades, he found solace and joy in the simpler moments of life. An avid bass fisherman and past President of the Gulfport, Mississippi, Bass Masters Fishing Club, he reveled in the tranquility of the waters. He loved to fish in local waterways and will leave behind his cherished fishing buddies who gathered at Lone Star Charlie's Family Restaurant in Lufkin, Texas, each morning for breakfast. Additionally, his passion for the great outdoors shone through his role as a hunter's education instructor and sportsman.

Kenneth's talents were not limited to the seas and forests; he also showcased his craftsmanship through woodworking, leaving behind pieces that will stand as a testament to his creativity and skill. For the past twenty-five years, he has called Lufkin, Texas home, leaving an indelible mark on the community through his kindness and dedication.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Debra (Robert) Wilson of Lufkin, Texas; brother, Richard (Gail) Miller of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandson, Samuel (Mary Katherine) Wilson of Houston, Texas; niece, Tanya Kaye Lippard; and nephew Richard Lee Miller, II, who will forever cherish the memories of his loving nature and adventurous spirit.

In the wake of his passing, let us remember Kenneth Miller for his unwavering dedication, his love for the outdoors, and the impact he made on all those around him. May his spirit find peace in the vast expanse he once roamed with such valor and spirit.

Kenneth was preceded in death by both of his parents and beloved wife, Billie Miller, who was the love of his life for 6 wonderful years.
