Johnny Clifford King

A homegoing service for Mr. Johnny Clifford King, age 77, of Lancaster, Texas, will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Two Mile Methodist Church, Leona, Texas.  Burial will follow in Two Mile Paradise Cemetery.  A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 9:30 A.M. to service time at the church.  

Johnny Clifford King was born July 27, 1947, in Leona, Texas to Johnnie L. and Doretha M. (Johnson) King.  He was one of six children born to this union.  Johnny received his education from Washington Perking High School where he excelled in basketball.  He later attended Prairie View A&M University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts.  

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Two-Mile United Methodist Church.  He remained a lifelong financial supporter.  Johnny retired from Grocery Supply and enjoyed family gatherings, rodeos and trail rides.  He also loved watching western television shows and Dallas Cowboys football.

Johnny departed this world November 24, 2024, after an extended illness.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents and sister, Sandra Kay (King) Lusk.

He is survived by wife of thirty-one years, Joyce (Culton) King, children, Kendrick, Teneisha and Dustin (Maggie); step-sons, Gerald and Roderick; siblings, Amberee (Earl), Jacqueline (Kenneth), Wanda, and Jesselyn (Michael); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
