Joel Edward "Joe" Clossin

Memorial services for Joel Edward "Joe" Clossin, 85, of Centerville, Texas will be held 3 P.M., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M.

Joe was born December 13, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to Morris & Alice (Darnell) Clossin. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for a brief time. Joe worked as an electrician and lineman until his retirement, then as a maintenance man for Centerville ISD.

Joe passed away February 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Peggy (Hardee) Clossin; eldest son, Cole "Jody" Clossin; great-grandson, Jaxson Matthews and daughter-in-law, Gaynell (Carrigan) Clossin.

Surviving family members include sons, Todd Clossin of Redland and Chad Clossin and wife, Michelle of Centerville; grandchildren, Brooke (Clossin) Smith and husband, Ashley of Spring, Colt Clossin of Bryan, Coy Clossin of Redland, Shea (Clossin) Nichols and husband, Jerry of Redland, Courtlynn (Clossin) Bihm and husband, Trevor of Bryan, Ethan Clossin of Los Angeles, CA and Brea (Clossin) Oates and husband, Logan of Centerville; nine great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Tammie Frances Clossin of Bryan, as well as a host of extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested in memory of Joe to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a local law enforcement organization.

Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
