Jo Ann Wallace

A homegoing service celebrating the life of Jo Ann Wallace, age 54, of Crockett, will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in the Burton Cemetery, east of Centerville in rural Leon County. Visitation will be held Friday, April 27th from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jo Ann Wallace was born July 29, 1963 in Madisonville, Texas. She graduated from Crockett High School in 1983. After graduating from high school she attended Sam Houston State University. She had several jobs before taking a position at Crockett State School as a data entry clerk for thirteen years and ten months.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Callie May Carey; father, Lucious Wallace, Sr. and three siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Mary (Wallace) Douglas and Janie Johnson; brothers, Lucious Wallace, Jr., Robert Carey, Morris Buckner and Jimmy Smith; two nephews, Mark Johnson and Omar Smith; one niece, Jayda Smith and a host of great nieces and nephews. Jo Ann also leaves behind sisters-in-law, Charlene Hayes, Rita Wallace and Lilly Lewis and other close family members and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
