Jennifer Ruth Warnock

April 9, 1962 — August 2, 2024

Baytown, Texas

Jenny Ruth was born April 9, 1962, to parents, John Calvin and Leona Mae (Jacobs) Long, and she went home to be with the Lord August 2, 2024.

Jenny was beautiful inside and out. She had a great sense of humor and a generous, loving heart. She was the kind of person who went out of her way to help you. Now, she might have given you an earful and tell you exactly what she thought, but she was always there to help. Even it that meant just giving advice, which her children found invaluable. Getting her to follow her own advice, however, was a different story!

She had a heart for animals and could never turn a stray away. She was also an avid reader and loved to spend her free time reading her Kindle books.

Jenny took great joy in her children and delighted in her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and very dear to our hearts. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.

If you ask Jenny's children and grandchildren what they are going to miss most, they would most likely say her love. She loved so strongly and all of us fortunate enough to have been recipients of that love will never forget it.

Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Gladys (Baden) Jacobs and Johnnie and Alma Long, as well as her parents, John Calvin and Leona Mae Long.

She is survived by husband, Larry Warnock; daughters, Misty Smart and Karen Johnson (Stephen); son, Lawrence Warnock; sisters, Leesa Dohman, Karry Holderrieth, Mona Durham, and Renny Knight; brother, Greg Long; grandchildren, Brent Carter, Priscilla Dohman, Tre Holcomb, Joshua Apland, James Johnson, and Leona Johnson; plus numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service honoring Jenny's life will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Chapel of the Hills Assembly of God Church, Centerville, Texas. Pastor Steven Johnson will officiate the service. A private interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
