Funeral services for Jamie Duke, 51, of Centerville, will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment will be at 3:30 P.M. in the Crims Chapel Cemetery near Henderson, Texas. A public visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. January 12th at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers, will be Dannie Duke, Charles Duke, Thomas Roenne, Matt Laningham, Brian Wodtke and Bruce MacColl.
James Langley Duke was born on May 16, 1965 in Henderson, Texas to Wesley Bert & Sarah Juanita (Roman) Duke. He was raised in the Catholic church and worked as an equipment operator for TMS. Jamie was a self-taught guitar player and loved to hunt and fish. Even with his illness, he had already killed his limit of deer for the year, plus a hog. His friends helped him clean the animals. Jamie had lived in Centerville since 2010, coming from Jewett. He passed away peacefully January 5, 2016 at his home. Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Duke.
Surviving family members include wife, Andrea (St. Pe) Duke of Centerville; mother, Sarah Juanita Duke of Henderson; children, Roman Duke of Tyler, Sarah Duke of Longview and Thomas Roenne of Centerville and brothers, Ronnie Duke of Arlington, Dannie Duke of Joinerville and Steve Duke of Henderson.
Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
