Harry W. O’Bryan Jr. born in Hartshorne, OK February 13, 1939.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry W. and Rose O’Bryan and brother, Robert O’Bryan.

Harry is survived by loving wife Mattie of 54 years; foster daughter, Mae Edwards and husband, Dwayne; grandchildren, Jay Shaw and wife, Aymie, Alissa Lavino and husband, John; great and great-great-grand children; goddaughter, Stacy Stanfield; brother George O’Bryan; sister, Rose Lee Kloss and husband, Bill; brother-in-law, David Watson; sister-in-law, Diane O’Bryan; nephews, Steven O’Bryan, wife Carol, Vaughn Kloss and wife, LaTania, Michael Watson, Mark Watson and wife Kim, David Watson, Kevin O’Bryan, and Daren O’Bryan, George O’Bryan Jr. and wife Jesica., great nephew Colin Harris; nieces, Laurie O’Bryan and fiancé Matt Cox, Annette Keene and husband, Scott, Sheri Sheppard and husband, James, Lori Barnett and husband, Ronnie, Cristina McComber and husband Mickel, Candice Hopp and husband Jason; great niece, Meaghan Russell. Also left to cherish his memory lifelong friends Richard and Vicki Stanfield, Goddaughter Staci Stanfield as well as Tonya Landry, and Ryan and Logan Frala (Frāy-la) .

Harry was a certified master electrician and worked several interesting jobs to include but not limited to; Air Force Reserves as a Sergeant in the Mobile Communications Squadron at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma, civilian start-up at Diego Garcia, Alaskan pipeline with Brown and Root, and retired as Head Maintenance Engineer for MD Anderson.

He and his wife, Mattie, were very active members of the North Houston Tea Party in the Woodlands, an avid Republican and Christian.

He had a zest for life and loved the outdoors. He loved to snow ski and travel all over the U.S., including Alaska. He liked to hike, fish, hunt and tinker with everything. Through the years, Mattie and Harry spent holidays, birthdays, vacations, and many other fun trips with the Stanfield family.

He had the gift of gab and anyone who knew him would agree that he never met a stranger. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Pastor Allen Meredith will officiate the service. A private interment will follow. The family will receive friends briefly before the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
