Gloria Jean Bain

Gloria Bain, age 90, of Centerville, Texas passed away July 6, 2022 in Madisonville, Texas. Funeral services honoring her life will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Johnny Veretto will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at the funeral home.

Gloria Jean Bain was born November 29, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland to Thomas L. & Mary Rugguri. She was married to Verner Lloyd Bain, and due to his long-time service in the military, they were able to travel and live in various places across the United States. Gloria enjoyed her time traveling and had even been around the world twice! She also enjoyed the opportunity to eat various cuisines during her traveling days. During her younger years, Gloria loved taking care of her flower gardens. As she grew older, Gloria loved playing crosword puzzles. She and her husband had lived in Centerville since 2006, coming from Colorado City, Texas.

Gloria was preceded in death by both of her parents; brother, Thomas L. Rugguri, Jr. and sister, Antoinette M. Rugguri. Surviving family members include husband, Verner Bain of Centerville; daughter & son-in-law, Bridgitte & James Ness of Poynor; grandchildren, Christopher Saxon, Chelsea Hancock, Dustin Ness, Melanie Ness, Heather Ness and Breannah Ness and eight great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews, Sam Curreri, Tina Bernstein, Danny Rugguri, David Rugguri, Mark Rugguri and Leslie Helton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
