Gladys Irene Martin

Funeral services honoring the life of Gladys Martin, 81, will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Pastor David Norton will officiate the service. Interment will be in Leona Cemetery.

Gladys Irene Martin was born March 30, 1940 in Broaddus, Texas to Henry & Gladys (Myers) Bell. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker her entire life. Gladys enjoyed taking care of everyone and especially loved to cook and bake for her family. She passed away December 18, 2021 in Madisonville, Texas.

Gladys was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Delmos “Odell” Martin and siblings, Eugene Bell, Tuck Bell, Norma Frederick and Roger Bell. Surviving family members include son, Kenneth Martin of Humble; daughters, Terri (Jim) Langley of Cypress, Danna (Jim) Jackson of Madisonville and Patricia (Darin) Traywick of Devers; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas is in charge of final arrangements.
