Funeral services for Russell Earl White, 64 years, of Bryan and formerly of Madison County, will be held at 2:30 P.M., Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Rev. Patricia When-Glowski, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Madisonville City Cemetery. A public visitation will take place form 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on January 22nd at the funeral home.
Russell Earl White was born on June 13, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Earl Simpson & Betty (Woodburn) White. He was raised in Madisonville. In 1970, Russell graduated from Madisonville High School and later received a Bachelors degree from Sam Houston State University. Russell was a cowboy and had been his whole life. He would do any and all types of cattle work for anyone who needed his assistance. Being a cowboy was his passion and Russell loved it. In his spare time, he especially enjoyed target shooting with his son and spending time with his grandchildren. Russell was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville and had lived in Bryan since 2001.
Russell passed away on January 19, 2017 at his home. He was preceded in death by his son, David White in 1993. Surviving family members include father, Earl White (Martha) of Madisonville; mother, Betty White of Bryan; wife, Lucinda White of Bryan; son, Steven White (Regina) of Bryan; brother, Mike White (Mindie) of Richardson and grandchildren, Jackson & Allison White.
