Frances Pauline Easterling

Funeral services for Pauline Easterling, age 89, of Marquez, will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Marquez Baptist Church in Marquez, Texas. Interment will follow in the Marquez Cemetery. A public visitation will take place on Saturday, September 2nd from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.

Frances “Pauline” Easterling was born on August 4, 1928 in Marquez, Texas to Samuel & Anna Belle (Coker) Winstead. She grew up in Marquez and moved to Houston when she was older where she worked as a clothing designer and expert seamstress. Pauline later moved back to Marquez where she had lived for the past thirty-seven years. She especially enjoyed arts and crafts and could build just about anything she set her mind on building. Pauline was a member of the Marquez Baptist Church. She passed away on August 30, 2017 in Centerville, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was preceded in death by both of her parents; great grandson, Brandon Miller and father of her children, Travis Ray Easterling, Sr.

Surviving family members include sons, Travis Ray Easterling, Jr. (Patsy) and David R. Easterling (Joy); daughters, Peggy Watson and Linda Carol Mayfield; brothers, Bobby Joe Winstead (wife, Lena) and Samuel E. Winstead, Jr.; sisters, Sue Brown and Mary Reagan (Louie) and grandchildren, Traci Lewis (Carlos Ornelas), Wende Rickett (Troy), Lisa Fuller (Andrew), Cindy Martin (Darrell), Patti Baran (Tom), Howard Collier, Tammy Benson (Todd), Michael Easterling (Sarah), Angela Trevino (Michael), Amanda Easterling (James Gwaltney) and Matthew Easterling (Sarah). Pauline is also survived by twenty-four great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers: Matthew Easterling, Troy Rickett, Andrew Fuller, Michael Easterling, James Travis Carlisle, Michael Trevino, Bobby Winstead & Darrell Martin.

Serving as honorary pallbearers: Todd Benson & Howard Collier.
