Felicia Nell Lemons

Felicia Nell Lemons, age 82, departed this earth to join her Heavenly Father and other beloved family members Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home in Centerville, Texas. She was born August 6, 1939 in Fairfield, Texas to Charlie & Edith (Epps) Speed, the youngest of eight children.

Felicia had lived in Centerville since 1974, coming from Waco. She devoted her life to caring for others, including her mother and many children of the community. Although she never had children of her own, Felicia adopted each of the young people she cared for and treated them as her own.

Felicia enjoyed going out to eat and never turned down a chance to travel. She exuded love for everyone she knew and loved to hug. You couldn't pass up Mrs. Felicia without giving her a hug, and she gave the best hugs in Centerville!

Most importantly, Felicia was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. What a time of rejoicing it was when she was welcomed into the arms of Jesus!

Felicia was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Johnny Lemons, brothers, Edward (Ann), Alfred (Louise), Rayford (Janet) and Clyde (Ernestine) Speed and sister, Elsie Cox (LB).

Surviving family members include son, Mark Lemons (Debbie), special daughter, Suzanne Leathers (Jerry); sisters, Margie Carrigan and Helen Nelms; grandchildren, Jeromy Dailey (Kim) and Duane Dailey (Christina); special granddaughter, Pennie Graeber (Will); great-grandchildren, Jaiden Dailey, Gavin Behrens, Caressa Dailey, Alis Dailey, Maxine Dailey, Raymond Coones, Serenity Coones, Talio Coones, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Felicia will be held 3 P.M., Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Dean Easterling will officiate the service. Felicia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Johnny, in North Creek Cemetery in the Nineveh Community of Leon County, Texas. A time of visitation will take place Friday, May 20th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
