Evelyn Mae Landry

Evelyn Mae Landry, of Normangee, passed away on January 24, 2017 in a Madisonville, Texas nursing home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 1, 1943 in Plantersville, Texas to John, Sr. & Pinki (Bonin) Kirk. Evelyn had resided in the Leon County area since the late 1990s and had previously lived in Halletsville, Texas. She loved to travel and enjoyed genealogy research. Evelyn had worked as a housewife for most of her life and was Baptist in faith.

Evelyn was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Louis Landry; son, Velton McDaniel, Jr. and brother, Lloyd Daniel Kirk. Surviving family members include sons, John J.C. McDaniel (Missy) of Flynn, Kirk McDaniel of Liverpool and David McDaniel of Friendswood; brothers, John Kirk, Jr. of Shepherd and Lois Daniel Kirk and sister, Doris Newnam of Normangee. Evelyn is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
