Funeral services for Ray Tubb, 67, of Centerville will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at New Salem Cemetery Chapel in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. Bro. Jim Bob Gunnels will officiate the service. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. There will be no public visitation prior to the service.
Ray Tubb passed away July 10, 2021 in Centerville, Texas. He was born Elgan "Ray" Tubb to parents, Elgin Louis & Billie (Alford) Tubb, January 4, 1954 in Ennis, Texas. Ray was raised in Leon County and enjoyed fishing, working on trucks and tinkering with just about anything he could get his hands on. Before his health began to decline, Ray worked as a driller in the oil industry. He had lived in Streetman, Nacogdoches and College Station and was Pentecostal in faith.
Ray was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister, Sandra Pierce and son, Bobby Tubb.
Surviving family members include son, Joey (Tiffany) Tubb of Magnolia; daughter, Tabitha (Craig) Foster of San Antonio; brother, Joe Tubb of Centerville; sister, Cynthia Miller of Wortham and grandchildren, Krissy Tubb, Abigale Maneely, Sadie Tubb, Carson Tubb, Hailey Tubb, Colton Tubb, Baylee Foster, Laynie Foster and Charlee Foster, as well as four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Colton Tubb, Edward Tubb, Bobby Tubb, Craig Foster, Charles Richardson, George Quinlan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
