Eladio Martinez

A funeral mass for Eladio Martinez, age 93, of Jewett, Texas will be held 1 P.M., Friday, February 3, 2023 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Centerville, Texas. Committal services will follow in St. Leo the Great Catholic Cemetery, east of Centerville. A brief visitation followed by a rosary will take place prior to the Mass from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.

Eladio Martinez Estrada was born February 18, 1929 in Mexico to Melquiadez Martinez Vasquez and Antonio Estrada Gonzalez. He was raised and worked in Mexico and had moved to Jewett to be near his children and their families. Eladio passed away January 28, 2023 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Castula Ramirez and four siblings.

Surviving family members include children, Maria Sanchez of Jewett, Avelina Diaz of Ft. Worth, Rafael Martinez of Ft. Worth, Gelacia Martinez of Buffalo and Silveria Martinez of Jewett; sisters, Pia Martinez and Susana Martinez, both of Mexico; grandchildren, Jose, Arturo, Yesenia & Teresita Martinez, Edgar & Carlos Diaz, Leonel, Janet, Rolando, Daniel & Lupita Sanchez, Maribel & Fernando Ramirez and Angel, Victor, Marisol & Emily Sanchez, as well as thirty-five great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
